Abush Wajebo – Founder and Head Tour Guide
My name is Abush Wajebo! I was born and raised in southern Ethiopia, in a town called Wondo Genet, known for its famous hot springs. I used to ask myself why so many visitors from around the world came to visit my country. As soon as I spent more time with visitors, my perspective started to change – I saw my enchanting country through their mesmerized eyes. I discovered the hidden satisfaction of visiting untouched nature – it was like I was seeing the animals and landscape for the first time. It was then that I realized, I wanted to share my country with all visitors, helping them see the wonder and beauty of Ethiopia.
After I completed high school, I came to Addis Ababa and studied tourism and tour guiding at the Lion Ethiopia Tourism and Hotel College for years and I have got Diploma. I also graduated from Addis Ababa University, with French as a major and English as a minor. Through education and experience as a tour guide, I am familiar with the natural, cultural and historical sites in four directions. Having a particular fascination and respect for birds, I have gained a lot of knowledge of birds and their natural habitats. I have years of experience accompanying bird watching groups, as well as experience working as a translator and guide for university research groups such as the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Wisconsin University and Colgate University.
As part of my services, I will organize transportation, accommodation and any other organizational parts of your travel, including national park registration and entrance fees.
Ethiopia is home to things you can’t see anywhere else in the world – come to be surprised and watch cultural and natural history spring to life!

The name Ethiopia is derived from the Greek form, “aithiopia”, which is made up of two words – aitho meaning “I burn” and ops, “face”. Thus, it means the colored man’s land or the land of the scorched faces.
